The HY1800 was one of our earliest compact purifiers, and its owners tend to keep it running for years, so the cores stay in the catalogue. The original version is the balanced three stage core. The smoke version is the interesting one: a newer formula carries twice the activated carbon content, so it absorbs and breaks down smoke and heavy odours noticeably faster.
Service life runs about 2,200 hours, near six months of daily use. After a swap, hold the reset and the machine starts counting fresh.
